In Oklahoma City the Jazz-Thunder game didn't happen. Just before the tip, players were called to the locker rooms. The halftime performance was moved up, then fans were told to head home. Not long later, we learned the season has been suspended until further notice.
Meanwhile, the NCAA announced basketball will be played. But without fans.
The Big 12 Tournament is taking a similar approach, with only a limited number of people close to the teams allowed in at the Sprint Center here in Kansas City.
"To have to take these steps is painful for everyone that's involved," Big 12 Commissioner Bob Bowlsby said. "But these are unusual times."
