LUBBOCK, Texas -

Prosperity Bank is supporting the fight against food insecurity in our area.

Prosperity Bank pledged $25,000 to the South Plains Food Bank. SPFB will receive $5,000 each year for the next five years. The pledge will provide 30,000 meals to the 20 counties the food bank serves.

"We just really count it important to give back or community. Hunger affects so many different people and so we're touching so many lives in our communities and we just really support their mission" Mackenzie Means, Marketing Specialist for Prosperity Bank, said.

The food bank has also benefited from the proceeds made by Prosperity Bank's annual Catfish Fry for the past seven years.
