Texas Tech Men's Basketball took (4)Baylor to overtime, but couldn't close the Bears out. This is despite the Red Raiders committing 20 turnovers and attempting 11 free throws.
"You now, I trust these Big 12 officials, they're all really good at what they do," Tech coach Chris Beard said. "But I'd have to go back and watch the film and see exactly what was going on. But we were trying to be very aggressive on offense as they were, too. You know, big difference here on the fouls and the free throws and through they were a big difference in the game."
Baylor was 15/23 on free throws, Tech 9/11. Tech was called for 22 fouls, Baylor 13.
Kevin McCullar hit a three to put Tech up 60-57 just inside of two minutes. Then Devontae Bandu tied it 15 second later.
"I was told not to shoot it," Bandu said. "But it was just a lot of space and I was like...you know, just gave me too much space, and the ball went in."
Tech's final regular season game is Saturday, hosting (1)Kansas. The Jayhawks host TCU Wednesday evening.
