UPDATED: Teen injured after shooting in South Lubbock

LUBBOCK, Texas -

Update:

A teen was injured after a shooting in near 76th and University Ave.

Four people were traveling southbound in an SUV when the suspect pulled up next to them in a vehicle and recognized an individual inside the SUV.

The suspect fired multiple shots into the victims' vehicle, striking 17-year-old Antwan Telford, according to police.

Telford was taken to UMC with moderate injuries.

The suspect has not been found. 


Police responded to a shots fired call near 76th and University Ave. Wednesday afternoon. 

Police report one person was shot in the leg, the severity of injuries is unknown. 

No additional details have been released.
