It's been a cool, quiet day across West Texas. The next storm system headed this way is still a couple days away. It'll drive the wind Sunday.
SATURDAY: Clouds will be pretty persistent, increasing through late in the day. High near 64. Wind SW/S 10-18mph.
SUNDAY: There could be a few light showers early in the morning, but it probably won't be much more than a few sprinkles. It'll start cloudy, giving way to a clearing sky by the afternoon. And that's when it'll get really windy. High temp near 68. Wind in the afternoon W 25-35mph, gusting 45-50mph. This will probably kick up some dust and also elevate the wildfire risk.
NEXT WEEK: Things look pretty quiet, with it turning colder mid-week. No good sign of showers.
Have a great weekend. Robert will have the updated forecast posted here Saturday afternoon. I hope to see you at the Lion's Club Pancake Festival Saturday...our crew will be flipping at Noon.
