UPDATED: City of Brownfield boil water notice lifted

Posted: Updated:
BROWNFIELD, Texas -

From the City of Brownfield

The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of February 22.

Due to reduced distribution system pressures, the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality is requiring the City of Brownfield to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption.

When it is no longer necessary to boil water, the public water system officials will notify customers that the water is safe for drinking.

If you have any questions regarding that matter contact Willie Herrera, Public Works Director at 806-637-4547.
