LUBBOCK -

Texas Tech and Kansas State went back-and-forth through much of the second half, the game separated by a few points. Cartier Diarra had a chance to tie the game, but opted for a windmill dunk attempt. It was a miss and the Red Raiders didn't look back from there, at one point in the ensuing minutes achieving the game's largest lead. Tech held on for a 69-62 win.

Davide Moretti led Tech with 18 points, 15 of those in the second half. Jahmi'us Ramsey added 17, Kyler Edwards 14.

Tech has struggled from the free throw line in several games this season. It wasn't the case Wednesday, going 12/13. Tech shot 50 percent from the field, 38 percent from three. Kansas State kept pace, at 48 percent FG percentage, but only 24 percent from long-range.

Antonio Gordon and Xavier Sneed led the Wildcats in scoring, both with 14.

Tech (17-9, 8-5) heads to Iowa State for a 5 p.m. Saturday match-up.
