We are starting this Valentines Day with cold temperatures and a mostly cloudy sky with areas of patchy freezing fog in our western counties.
Fog will diminish through the morning with cloud cover breaking up late morning/ early afternoon. Highs will stay cool again in the upper 40s and lower 50s with a southerly wind 10-18mph.
TONIGHT: A little milder with some high clouds moving in and the southerly wind continuing 10-15mph, low near 34.
WEEKEND: Quiet and much warmer, 60s Saturday then 70s Sunday. The wind will stay a light breeze from the west-southwest 10-15mph.
NEXT WEEK: The warmer temperatures continue Monday with a stronger wind ahead our next storm system. The will drop a cold front early Tuesday through our area bring in colder air. The bigger questions with this system will be where will the moisture be??? Our long range models are still in a disagreement with this moisture. The European model is keeping the moisture south and keeping us dry. GFS model is bring the moisture in our area leaving us with a good shot for more wintry precipitation Wednesday and Thursday. Still a ways away with many details to work out.
Have a great Valentines Day and weekend! Matt with the next forecast update tonight on the News at Nine.
