Crosbyton CISD employee charged with improper relationship with student

An employee with Crosbyton Consolidated Independent School District was arrested for having an improper relationship with a student. 
 
Zailly Almaraz, 30, turned herself in Friday afternoon at the Crosby County Sheriff's Office after an arrest warrant was issued for the offense, according to DPS. 
 
She resigned from her position earlier last week. 
 
Improper relationship with a student is a second degree felony with a punishment of up to 20 years in prison. 
 
The Texas Rangers are the leading the investigation.
