LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce kicked of its annual Business Expo Thursday.

This year it included a new expo series: Business at its Best.

Two seminars were offered, each focusing on different techniques to strengthen your business.

Nearly 200 vendors were set up, ranging from mom and pops to larger businesses. It's part of the Lubbock Chamber's efforts to address business tops and offer tools to those in the work place.

"I believe that this benefits the businesses because it opens them up to community members," Business Expo Chair Kim Putman said. "There are lots of businesses here that maybe you might not, driving down the street, you might not stop at. But because you're walking by their booth you might stop and get some more information and then that's something you may need as a consumer at a later time and you've been introduced to them."

It's the largest business to business trade show on the South Plains that welcomed more than 5,000 attendees.
