LUBBOCK, Texas -

We had just enough snow in Lubbock for Lubbock ISD, Frenship ISD, and Lubbock Cooper to cancel. You can get the other delays and cancellation at FOX34.com. Higher amounts of snow across our southeastern counties with reports 5" to 8" common.

Light to moderate snow continues moving in from the southwest and pushing northeast, Current radar below:
South Plains Radar

TODAY: On and off snow through the morning, with additional amounts half an inch to an inch possible for some locations. Then this will be clearing from west to east with cloud cover breaking up in the late afternoon/ evening hours. It will stay cold with highs in the lower 30s, if any thawing occurs it will be short lived.
Current Temperature

TONIGHT: Clear sky with very cold temperatures again. Lows in the teens with the westerly wind 5-12mph, wind chill temperatures back in the single digits. Slick roads likely again in the morning. Plan for a longer morning commute and to drive slow again.

EXTENDED: Temperatures climb above freezing around lunch time Thursday with lots of sunshine into the weekend. A cold front will keep temperatures cool Saturday before a rapid climb to the 60s Sunday. Next week cloud cover will increase with a slight chance for rain starting Tuesday. Temperatures above freezing so only rain... no snow :)
