A man pleaded guilty in Lamb County to the manufacturing and distribution of THC cartridges.
Rocky Hernandez waived his right to a jury and, in turn, wanted the judge to make the final decision.
A DPS trooper pulled Hernandez over last year. The vehicle he was driving was connected to a drug deal.
During testimony, the trooper noted when drugs came up, Hernandez was hesitant and changed the subject. The vehicle was searched and the trooper found 23 THC cartridges and pyrex bottles filled with $13,000 worth of THC.
The judge sentenced Hernandez to 15 years in prison. He must serve a quarter of his sentence before he's eligible for parole.
