Monday last day to register to vote, poll workers still needed

Posted: Updated:
LUBBOCK, Texas -

Monday is the last day to register to vote for the party primaries.

You can pick up a form at the Lubbock County Elections Office at 1308 Crickets Ave. Forms can also be picked up at the driver's license office, public libraries and post offices.

Early voting begins Feb. 18. The primaries are March 3.

Another way to help - make sure others get to vote.

There's still a critical need for poll workers ahead of Super Tuesday. Both the Republican and Democratic primaries are that day, with many candidates for a lot of races.

"It's really important to have people from the community come in and step in, because they're our eyes and ears to let us know so that we have secure, transparent elections in Lubbock County," Elections Administrator Dorothy Kennedy said.

Poll workers get paid, including paid training. Applications are accepted at the elections office and online.
