THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed into the 70s with ample sunshine. This time of year that's often a sign that things are about to change, which is the case today. Some rain and snow is falling over New Mexico, an upper-level storm system headed this way.
Here is FOX34 VIPIR. Initially it'll show some light returns, but likely won't be anything getting to the ground because of dry air.
TONIGHT: Clouds increasing, north wind getting strong. Low near 35. Wind NW/N 15-30mph. Some light rain is possible tomorrow morning. Most of the showers will be focused well north and northeast of here, with snow likely for the eastern Texas Panhandle.
TOMORROW: It'll stay windy and cold, with some sun by the afternoon. High 48. Wind N 20-32mph, some gusts over 40mph.
NEXT FEW DAYS: It'll warm back to near average on Wednesday in the mid 50s, sunny. The next storm system may bring some light showers here. It will turn cold again. And it could be cold enough for some light wintry mix, but amount don't look impressive at this point.
Then we've got a steady warm-up in store, climbing to around 70 on Super Bowl Sunday.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
