Texas Tech falls to Kentucky in OT 76-74

LUBBOCK, Texas -

#18 Texas Tech's 54-game non-conference home winning streak came to an end as the Red Raiders fell to #15 Kentucky 76-74 in OT. Nick Richards stole the show for the Wildcats as a monster on the glass with 14 rebounds to go with 25 points and 4 blocks in 39 minutes. 

Tech erased a 10-point deficit with seven minutes to go to force overtime. Davide Moretti had a chance to give the Red Raiders the lead with 25 seconds left as he was fouled with Tech up 1. He nailed one of the free throws to force some free basketball. 

Kyler Edwards led the Red Raiders in scoring with 18 points, while Davide Moretti (15) Terence Shannon (12) were in double figures as well. Tech returns to action Wednesday as Chris Beard's team will host West Virginia at 7 p.m.
