ELECTION WORKERS NEEDED
The Lubbock County Elections Office is still looking to fill about 100 paid positions ahead of the March Primary elections. Must be a registered voter in Lubbock County. 16 and 17 year old students may work with parental and school permission. Ages 18 and over must be a registered voter of Lubbock County. Last day to register to vote for the March primaries is Feb 3rd. Workers are paid $9 an hour to attend training an $11 an hour for working on election day. Apply at one of the following locations.

The Complete Count Lubbock Committee is hosting a kickoff forum on Thurs Jan 23rd from 6:00 – 7:00pm at the Texas Tech University International Cultural Center located at 601 Indiana Ave. The Lubbock Mayor Dan Pope, Lubbock County Judge Curtis Parrish, Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, representatives from the Census Bureau and Lubbock County League of Women voters will be special guests.
Joining Voices Ribbon Cutting & City Proclamation hosted by One Voice Home at Vera Bradley located at 2910 West Loop 289 (West End Shopping Mall) from 11am – 12pm. This event is a special Human Trafficking Awareness to recognize local efforts and encourage citizens to learn and recognize the signs of human trafficking, report their suspicions to law enforcement & support local efforts to end human trafficking in our city.
California T’s Community Rally Day hosted by Pecan Ridge at 1611 University from 5pm – 7pm. Event is being put on to help this long time business of Lubbock from a recent burglary. It’s rally behind this Lubbock family business that has given so much to our community. So go by and shop.
Saturday Farmers Market hosted by Wolfforth Farmers Market 8924 County Rd 7100 from 10am – 2pm. Several vendors selling food, homemade goods, artwork, jewelry etc.
Mahon Library located at 1306 9th St will be hosting a Silent Dance party. Bring your own device and listen to your favorite music while enjoying a fun dance party. 2:30 – 3:30pm. All ages.
