LUBBOCK, Texas -

From the Texas Department of Public Safety

Trooper Jerrod Burtnett was injured as a result of being struck by a vehicle during a crash investigation last December.

His brothers and sisters are putting on a fundraiser to assist with medical costs.

Troopers will be serving breakfast burritos the morning of Thursday, Jan. 23, and Lubbock National Bank will be cooking hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch Friday, Jan. 24, to gather donations for Trooper Burtnett.

Burritos will be $3 each and lunch will be $5 a person, but we are asking for any donations that you could assist with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Lunch will begin at 11:00 a..m. Friday at the Lubbock DPS Aircraft Hanger.

Please see Sergeant Smith or Corporal Mickley for any questions or further details.
