It's going to turn colder tonight and will stay cold tomorrow, with the temperature barely moving from morning to afternoon. Some sprinkles or light showers are possible this evening. Here is a check of FOX34 VIPIR:
TONIGHT: Cloudy and turning cold, low near 33. Wind NE 10-18mph. Some rain is possible.
TOMORROW: Cloudy and cold, high near 36. Wind NE 5-15mph. It will rain off-and-on through the day. Based on the latest data, it should mainly be rain around Lubbock. But just a couple degrees difference would mean more freezing rain, where it falls as liquid then creates an icy glaze. It was in the 70s with a lot of sun past few days, so the ground is relatively warm...at least to start.
North of Lubbock it's more likely to be cold enough to support some freezing rain.
It's more likely there's some freezing rain early tomorrow, then again tomorrow night.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Showers will probably hang around through Friday morning, with the low near 33. Again, freezing rain or mixed wintry precip is possible. After that, it'll warm up on a SW wind Friday.
The weekend will turn cool and should stay cool into next week. A few showers are possible Tuesday.
Have a good night. We'll have the latest check of the forecast tonight on FOX34 News at Nine. And Bobby will have a check of the radar tomorrow morning on Good Day Lubbock.
