FOX34 Corner Kitchen: 'skinny' tuna melt

Easy Tuna Melt


· 2 (5 oz.) cans of tuna (in water), drained

· 1/2 cup picked carrots, minced

· ¼ cup mayonnaise

· 4 slices whole wheat bread

· 4 slices 2% reduced fat cheddar

· 4 Campari tomatoes, sliced


1. Heat oven to 425 degrees.

2. In a small bowl, combine tuna, carrots, and mayonnaise

3. On a cookie sheet, place 4 slices of bread. Divide tuna mixture over 4 pieces. Top with slices of tomatoes and cheese.

4. Place in oven for about 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and begins to brown.

5. Remove from oven and serve immediately.
