Sunny and mild again with a southwest wind 10-18mph, high near 73.
TONIGHT: Clouds will increase overnight helping temperatures to stay a little warmer nearing 37.
WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny with a cold front pushing through the area. High near 63, with the north-northeast wind 10-18mph.
REST OF WEEK: A good set up for precipitation starting Thursday into Friday as we will be wedged in between two upper level systems. This will leave us with a stream of Pacific moisture across west Texas. Temperatures will drop near or below freezing in our area, some mixed precipitation and freezing rain possible mainly in our northern counties. Lubbock's temperatures will be close for now we it looks to stay liquid. This all clears through the day Friday with temperatures quickly climbing to the 60s.
EXTENDED: Early Saturday another front will bring cold temperatures for the weekend. Highs below average even with a sunny sky Saturday. Models start to disagree for possible outcome into next week. For now keeping us dry with cold temperatures sticking around.
Have a great Tuesday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
