Several community centers are participating in the Walk Across Texas walking club. Guidance and directions to start walking into shape will be shared. Tally sheets will be kept for each participant to help Texas establish he habit of regular physical activity. Rawlings Community Center 213 40th, Maggie Trejo Supercenter 3200 Amherst, and Lubbock Adult Activity Center 2001 19th.

Children’s Connections located at 2514 82nd St. is hosting a Diaper Day for parent-to-be or if you have a child under 3. You are invited to call and schedule a time 745-7995. Walk ins are welcome but may have to wait. Free educational materials, diapers and other goodies to take home.

Mahon Library ½ Price book sale from 9am -5:00pm each day. Mahon Library basement 1306 9th St.

Two Docs Brewing Company present Beer Yoga every second Saturday of the Month. Registration begins at 10am and classes begin at 10:30am. 502 Texas Ave. Tickets $20person/$30couple which includes free beer. Instructions from Shelli Jones.

Lubbock Wellness Expo at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center will be from 9am – 5pm. This event is designed to help consumers connect with professionals to take control of their own health.

Saturday Farmers Market in Wolfforth from 10am – 2pm. 8924 County Rd 7100 (located just half a mile west of Frenship High School off of West 82nd) Over 30 vendors.

LHUCA presents Artful Family Hours: Lubbock Collages from 12noon – 2:00pm at 511 Ave K. Free and open to the public, all ages.

Jan 14th
Hispanic Association of Women monthly meeting begins at 5:30pm at the City Bank located at 5219 City Bank Pkwy.

Jan 16th
Brews and Brushes / LHUCA @ Two Docs Brewery 6:00 – 8:00pm 502 Texas Ave. Cost $40 All supplies provided.

TAMACC will be hosting a Lubbock Latino Business Leadership Reception at Premiere Cinemas located at 6002 Slide Rd. Purpose of the gathering of Latino Business people is to start a dialogue and to determine the level of interest to better organize Hispanic owned business in Lubbock.
