LUBBOCK, Texas -

The suspect in a sexual assault on Texas Tech campus in December has been indicted.

17-year-old Dominic Rodriguez is accused of attacking, groping and sexually assaulting a victim near Coleman Hall Dec. 8, 2019. Rodriquez was arrested in mid-December.

A search warrant at Rodriquez's home revealed clothes and shoes similar to the attacker's surveillance photos. When officers arrived, investigators say Rodriquez told them "you already got me."

He's held on a $100,000 bond. If convicted Rodriquez faces two to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

There was another attempted assault just a day later in the Wall Gates parking lot. A man tried to assault a victim, but she fought him and ran off.

Investigators haven't specified whether Rodriquez was involved in that case or if they're searching for a different suspect.
