Another gust day for us across the area with wind speeds 15-25mph from the south-southwest. More high clouds expected for a mostly sunny sky, high near 62.
TONIGHT: Some moisture returns but we stay dry, temperatures won't drop off as much with lows in the 30s and some 40s in the Rolling Plains. The wind will stay breezy 15-22mph before dropping to 10-15mph in the early AM.
THURSDAY: Temperatures will climb 15 degrees or more above average with possible 70s in our area. This will be ahead of our next system to push a front in the area Friday. A sunny day with wind speeds not as strong but still noticeable 8-18mph.
WEEKEND: For our area only a small chance for some light precipitation Friday and Friday night. Temperatures quickly drop after the front and some light snow flakes possible in our northern counties. Not expecting any accumulations from this activity. Temperatures for the first time will drop below the average by a few degrees Saturday with a sunny sky. This will not last long as Sunday highs will be back near 60.
NEXT WEEK: More wind expected with dry conditions, temperatures hold above average to start the week. Looking past the 7-day temperatures may drop to end next week.
Matt will have the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
Have a great Wednesday!
