Would-be burglar shot and killed by Lubbock police

 

Officers say 30-year-old Drew Nichols Wallace Flores was trying car door handles to find ones that were unlocked early Sunday morning in Southwest Lubbock. A resident called police to report a suspicious person and officers say the man took off when they approached him. Police say the chase ended near 94th and Orlando when the man fired at officers and they fired back, killing him.

  
Suspect sought after Hotel Ava shooting on Friday
  

Officers say 37-year-old Joshua Gomez was shot at the hotel and later died at the hospital. They're asking for your help. Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Detective Price at 806.548.4111 or Detective Gerber at 806.239.1248.

The agency looks for repeat patters of behavior that put the public at risk. Two people were killed at the club early New Year's day days after the owner was asked by police to address security issues on the property.
 
 
One-year-old killed in Dallas shooting
  

Dallas police suspect the home the boy was in was being targeted. They say the shooter went right to bedroom windows, shooting them out as the family slept. 1-year-old Rory Norman died, his uncle was also hit in the shooting, but is expected to survive.

Jason Garrett out as head coach of Dallas Cowboys

Fox Sports reported the Cowboys have interviewed former Packers coach Mike McCarthy and former Bengals coach Marvin Lewis.
