TABC shuts Austin bar following shooting

Posted: Updated:

The TABC's suspension of a Lubbock club's alcohol license for a week isn't the only action following violence around New Year's Day.

TABC shut Terminal Six in Austin Friday. The 60-day emergency suspension follows an attack after Midnight on New Year's Day, which injured two people at the Sixth Street bar.

TABC uses this kind of suspension when it determines a bar's continued operation would constitute an ongoing threat to public welfare. Agents say there are four open complaints against Terminal Six.

The owner says he's decided to sell the bar because of the shut down.
