Lubbock Fire Rescue investigating Clapp Park grass fire

LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office is investigating a fire at Clapp Park believed to be started on purpose. 

Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to the grass fire Wednesday night. Firefighters were able to put out the fire after it burned about 3.8 acres, according to LFR. 

A witness told investigators they saw teenagers running from the fire, north on Ave. U. The witness described one teenager wearing a white sweater and another wearing a black sweater. 

The suspects have not been found. Fire Marshals classified the fire as incendiary.
