Mostly cloudy, highs in the 50s.

Meteorologist Robert Gauthreaux III said tonight is will be mostly cloudy, with a 20% chance of rain and lows below freezing.

Victims identified in the Level Nightclub shooting

17-year-old Garyontae Shephard  and 24-year old Dedrick Traylor were shot and both died at the hospital. Police haven't yet identified a suspect. If you know anything, please call Crimeline at 741-1000.

Toddler died after being run over by father

A 3-year old died when police say her father accidentally backed over her in the family's driveway. It happened near 15th and Avenue S. We're told Liliana Rivera's dad didn't know she had followed him out of the house, and went behind the car. 

First Lubbock baby of the new year born at Covenant

Daxxton Castro was welcomed into the world two hours after the start of 2020.  He weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces, and measured 21.5 inches long. His parents, Jonathan Castro and Krystal Rodriguez say it was exciting to have their son born on New Year's Day.

FDA plans to announce a ban on flavored vaping products

 The Wall Street Journal says sales will be stopped of mint as well as a variety of sweet and fruity flavors. The ban will not, however, affect menthol and tobacco flavors.
It will also not impact open tank devices, which allow smokers to make their own custom flavor blends for use in their electronic cigarettes. FDA officials are expected to announce the comprehensive plan as early as tomorrow.
