It's been a windy day, with the temperature climbing to around 60 across the South Plains. It'll turn cooler next few days, with the generally quiet weather pattern continuing.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy, low near 35. The wind will back off some, but will still be gusty at times, averaging 10-18mph out of the SW/W.
TOMORROW: More clouds, cooler and breezy. High near 50. Wind NW/N 12-22mph. There is a slight chance for rain late tomorrow. It could even be cold enough tomorrow night for some snow to mix in. But amounts will be light. And the chance for any kind of precipitation is fairly low.
NEXT FEW DAYS: A little cooler, mostly sunny on Friday. Then it should climb slightly above the seasonal average this weekend, with upper 50s both days.
The first half of next week should be sunny, with the wind kicking up a bit each afternoon.
I hope you've had a great start to 2020. Robert will have a complete update to the forecast here tomorrow morning.
