Dry air in place across the area that help temperatures to quickly drop overnight.
TODAY: Even through we will be partly sunny, temperatures will quickly climb with highs in the upper 60s and 70s.
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with temperatures will drop back down to near freezing, low near 34.
CHRISTMAS EVE: Things stay quiet with mild temperatures continuing. An upper level low will push into the 4-corner region and bring them a chance for snow.
CHRISTMAS: This low will push across our region we stay dry but wind speeds will increase for a breezy afternoon. Mostly sunny with temperatures in the lower to mid 60s expected.
EXTENDED: As the upper level low pushes out of our region, another will follow in its foot steps. This one will slowly dig and move a little further south drawing in moisture to our area. As a front lifts this moisture our rain chances increase late Thursday through Friday and into Saturday. Temperatures look to stay above freezing so expecting only rain, but highs will be dropping to the 40s and 50s.
Have a great Christmas eve-eve. Matt with the next updated look at the rain chances tonight on the News at Nine.
