City of Lubbock is accepting applications for various boards and commissions. The term begins June 1, 2020 but the deadline to submit your application is December 31, 2019. Applications can be submitted at www.mylubbock.us/cityboards .

Northside Neighborhood Association in conjunction with the Legal Aid Society of Lubbock will hold a Legal Clinic to prepare FREE Advance Directives for Senior Citizens (55+) on December 10th from 9:00am – 4:30pm. Christmas Bazaar at 3111 Erskine St. Friday Preview Night Free Chocolate from 6-9pm and Saturday 10am – 6pm. The more you buy the more chances you get put into a drawing.

Holiday at the Museum of Texas Tech University from 2pm – 4pm. Enjoy crafts, food and giveaways. Free of charge

Lubbock Parks and Recreation will host Santa Land for the 62nd year. From Dec 10 -23rd nightly from 6:00pm – 10:00pm.

Senior Christmas Dinner hosted by LULAC at the Maggie Trejo Supercenter located at 3200 Amherst. Dinner will be served at 6:00pm and Dance will be held from 8:00pm – 10:00pm

41st Annual Candelight at the Ranch hosted by the National Ranching Heritage Center located at 3121 4th St. from 6:30pm to 9:00pm

Caroling in the Courtyard 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Buddy Holly Center 1801 Crickets.

Dec 10th through Dec 23rd
Santa Land - Lubbock Parks and Recreation Mackenzie Park. Entrance off of the East Broadway. Every night from 6:00pm – 10:00pm Free.

Recycling for real Christmas trees has already started at 208 Municipal Drive, 1631 84th St. , 7308 Milwaukee, 4307 Adrian St. After Jan 6th roll offs will be located inside the gates and can be dropped off from 8am – 5:30pm Mon thru Sat.

LISD will be out for the holiday break from Dec 23rd through Jan 7th. That’s right Jan 6th will be a teachers work day. Early dismissal for Secondary Dec 19th and Early Dismissal for all Dec 20th

Breakfast with Santa Cow at Chick-fil_A at 4th & Frankford from 9am – 11m.

Homeless Person’s Memorial & Candlelight Vigil at 6:00pm at Dave Freriks Park located at 16th and Ave K.

Dec 22nd
El Mercado Hispano/Flea Market located at 2323 Ave K will be doing Pictures with the Grinch from 11am – 3pm.

Dec 22nd
Santa and Food Trucks at Walmart on 114th & Quaker from 12pm – 8pm. Santa will be available from 4-8pm for a $5 fee.

Dec 22nd

Pancho Clos at Maggie Trejo Supercenter from 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Dec 24th
City of Lubbock offices will be closed Dec 24th and 25th in observance of the Christmas holidays. Regular business hours will resume Thursday Dec 26th
