THIS AFTERNOON: We've seen some sun mixed with the clouds. It's much colder behind the front that moved through yesterday, with 40s around the Lubbock area and 30s up in the Panhandle. The same system that cooled it down here is producing severe weather across the South. At least one person was reported killed in a severe storm in Louisiana. The severe risk will continue tonight across parts of Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.
TONIGHT: Clear and cold, low near 20. Wind N/NW 5 mph.
TOMORROW: Sunny and cool, high near 45. Wind N/W 5-10mph.
NEXT FEW DAYS: Plenty of sun, with the temperature slowly climbing day to day. It will be warmer this weekend, high back in the 60s.
Thought it's a long way out, and things can still change, for several days now the computers have shown the high near 60 for the few days surrounding Christmas and Christmas itself. It this trend holds, the pattern will be pretty quiet around those days.
Have a great rest of the day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
