30 Lubbock area non-profits benefit from City Bank Community Rewards
LUBBOCK, Texas -
30 non-profits in our area were rewarded to continue doing good across the South Plains.
City Bank passed out $60,000 as part of its Community Rewards Program.
Charities receive rewards, ranging from $5,000 to $7,000, based on community members votes. While City Bank provides the funds, staffers say it's just a small price to pay for the lives affected by these non-profits each year.
"Well we're just very proud to play a small part in what they do. They are the heroes in the community. Giving people money is a small part of that. They're the ones the volunteer, they're the one that are in the trenches, helping people, helping animals," Norval Pollard, Chief Lending Officer at City Bank, said.
Since 2007, City Bank has contributed $600,000 to more than 120 non-profit groups in Lubbock and the South Plains.
