Even with a cloudy sky we managed to make it to 72° Sunday. Mild morning with a light breeze from the west.
TODAY: Another cloudy day, but a cold front will bring the colder air in. Timing on this front around noon in Lubbock, earlier to our north, and later to our south. High near 59, with the wind shifting northeasterly and staying a light breeze 10-18mph.
TONIGHT: This front will lift moisture to our south and bring a slight chance for showers. The better chances for light rain will be across our southern counties. As temperatures drop some mixed precipitation can't be ruled out, but no accumulations or travel concerns expected. Low near 29, mostly cloudy with the northeast wind staying 10-15mph.
TUESDAY: Cloud cover starts to break apart with some sunshine later in the afternoon. High only near 48, with a southwesterly wind returning 5-12mph.
EXTENDED: High clouds move in and stay in place through Thursday, but more sunshine than today. Temperatures stay chilly the rest of the week with nightly temperatures near or below freezing. We start to warm up to the 60s by Friday and continues into the weekend.
Have a great Monday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
