DEVELOPING: Body found on US 87 south of Lubbock, near Lynn Coun

UPDATED: Body found on US 87 south of Lubbock identified as missing California man

LUBBOCK, Texas -

DPS has identified the body found on US 87 as 34-year-old Erin Nestor of Riverside, California. 

Nestor had been reported missing to the San Bernardino Police Department by family members on Dec. 7. 

Texas Rangers are investigating the cause of death.

Police are working to identify a body discovered Sunday morning south of Lubbock. 

DPS reports that the body of an unidentified white male was found in the center median on US 87, about a quarter mile south of the Lubbock/Lynn County line. 

Investigators are trying to identify the man and determine a cause of death. 

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
