LUBBOCK, Texas -

The culinary team at the Overton Hotel has been hard at work this week.

The Hotel and Conference prepared for its annual Gingerbread display. The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce was there to cut the ribbon on the official unveiling.

Executive Chef Doug Noxon says the display took hundreds of pounds of gingerbread to create. The goal is to help raise money for the Texas Boys Ranch.

"For us, it's a team up with the Boys Ranch and we do this every year," Noxon said. "It just means to much to the hotel to be a part of that."

Noxon says the team's been working on the gingerbread house since July. The display will be open to the public for the whole month of December.
