Our area had some good rain totals last night. Freezing rain to our north and northwestern counties where some slick spots on roads possible through the morning. Things are looking to diminish in precipitation already, here is current radar:
Here are rain totals from the last 24 hours from the Tech Mesonet:

TODAY: Cloudy and cold with highs in the upper 30s and 40s. Some light on and off drizzle and rain possible, but not expecting much more in precipitation.
TONIGHT: Some isolated showers with possible rumble of thunder possible as the next storm system approaches to our west. The low temperature of 39 will be just after midnight, models have us warming some before sunrise.
FRIDAY: Models are struggling to agree on temperatures to end this week. Highs generally look to be in the upper 50s or 60s. Mostly cloudy through the first half of the day, then becoming partly sunny. Some isolated showers will be possible for the Black Friday Shoppers so keep the umbrella handy. The wind will be stronger from the south 15-25mph.
TECH FOOTBALL: Heading to Austin or watching the game on FOX34? They will have a good chance for showers with a few storms. Temperatures will be in the upper 60s for kickoff, mid 70s by the end of the 4th.
WEEKEND: The next front moves through early Saturday with the wind picking up from the west/northwest 20-30mph with gust to 40mph. Highs will struggle to make it in the low 50s for both days. Good news is this front clear the cloud cover and precipitation from our area.
NEXT WEEK: Pretty quiet with temperatures in the 60s and sunny with some high clouds by mid-week. Models are hinting another quick chance for precipitation by Thursday.
Happy Thanksgiving! Relax inside and enjoy some good food. Robert will have the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
