LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Red Raider Startup High School Program hosted its final Business event for the year Saturday, Nov. 16.

It was held at the Innovation Hub at Research Park near 4th and Texas Tech Parkway. All students who participated were grouped into teams and had to come up with a business idea to pitch to a group of investors.

"They are just incredible. They work together, they didn't know each other coming in, so they got put onto teams for different schools," Program Director Taysha Williams said. "And by the end of it they're friends. They're working together, late nights, early mornings, solving problems. It's just incredible seeing them working together and what they come up with in three days."

One high school freshman said business ideas should be things that benefit other people.
