Chilly this morning thanks to the wind, with wind speeds 10-20mph.
TODAY: High near 68, wind speeds will drop off this afternoon with high clouds in place for a partly sunny sky.
TONIGHT: Low near 45, wind speeds become breezy again from the south/southwest.
TUESDAY: A low pressure system will pass to our north and this will bring a very strong wind from the west/northwest. Blowing dust likely with wind speeds 25-35mph and gusts 40-50mph in our area. Before the cold front temperatures will warm into the 50s and 60s for highs.
TRAVEL CONCERNS: A Pacific low pushes into the region ahead of another system digging south across the west coast. This will increase the chance for precipitation later Wednesday into Thanksgiving. The tricky part of the forecast is how cold will temperatures get in our area. If we drop below freezing it could be a bad morning for commuting around for Thanksgiving. If we stay above freezing we will be dealing with cold rain. The greater risk for mixed precipitation and icy roads is to our west and northern counties.
EXTENDED: For the shoppers on Black Friday some light showers will be possible with temperatures climbing quickly. Then the next storm system bring cold air back this weekend with the strong wind returning, but looks to stay dry.
Have a great Monday! Matt with the next forecast updated tonight on the News at Nine.
