The rain ended overnight, still cloudy and cold this morning.
TODAY: High near 49, cloud cover will break up later this afternoon. Northerly wind changing west/southwest staying light 5-12mph.
TONIGHT: A few models hinting low clouds and fog developing. This will be something to monitor through the day, otherwise mostly clear sky. Low near freezing for much of the northern counties, mid 30s south.
SATURDAY & TEXAS TECH FOOTBALL: A sunny afternoon, but still a chill in the air with the high near 61. Kickoff for Tech vs Kansas State is at 6PM, temperatures will be dropping by the end of the game to the low 40s. Keep the jacket handy if you are heading that way.
NEXT WEEK: A warming trend with highs in the mid to upper 60s Sunday and Monday. Then the cold returns with more precipitation. The front move through on Tuesday bringing a strong northerly wind, temperatures dropping to the 40s and 50 for the rest of the week. Pacific moisture will stream across the region from a upper level system. This will bring a chance for rain and if temperatures drop enough, some wintry precipitation Wednesday. For Thanksgiving we might still have some on and off showers and staying chilly.
Have a great Friday and weekend, Go Tech! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
