THIS AFTERNOON: It's cloudy and cold. We're looking to the west, where there's rain and snow across much of New Mexico. Those showers are moving this way, with rain expected tonight.
Here is FOX34 VIPIR:
TONIGHT: Areas of rain, cloudy and possibly some fog. Low near 34. Wind NE 5-12mph. We expect rain here, with the potential for some rain-snow mix up around Amarillo. But it will get cold enough from Muleshoe to Dimmitt to Silverton, north of Lubbock, that there could be a few icy patches on bridges.
FRIDAY: Clouds in the morning giving way to some sun by the afternoon. High near 50. Wind NE 5-12mph.
It'll be clear and cold for the playoff football games, dropping through the 40s across the region. It should be near 40 in Lubbock by 10 p.m.
SATURDAY: Sunny, high near 60. It'll be cold for the Kansas State-Texas Tech game, dropping from the lower 50s at 6 p.m. to around 40 by the end of the game. Wind NW 5-10mph.
LOOKING AHEAD: It'll be a little warmer Sunday and Monday. The wind will kick up some first part of next week.
Then we expect another storm system to move across the region by mid-week. At this point we have a slight chance for rain Wednesday and Thanksgiving.
Have a great rest of your day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
