Two arrested in connection to drive-by shooting that injured 6-year-old boy

LUBBOCK, Texas -

From the Lubbock Police Department: 

Two people have been arrested in connection to a drive-by shooting last week. 

Police responded to reports of shots fired near 38th and Wayne Friday evening. Police report a 6-year-old boy had been shot. The victim and three other family members were in the home when the suspect fired a weapon through the front living room window striking the child and his grandmother, according to the police report. 

Edward L. Munoz, 23, was arrested on five unrelated warrants Monday evening. Investigators served Munoz with an aggravated assault warrant for his involvement in the drive-by shooting.
 
Dezarey Ramos, 22, was arrested the evening of Sunday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and booked into Lubbock County Detention Center.
 
Munoz and Ramos are both held on a $500,000 bond.
