THIS AFTERNOON: It's warmed up nicely, with mid 70s under a sunny sky. We've got more warm weather in store next few days. Our focus right now is a storm system off of the Baja and another one off the Pacific Northwest coast. These disturbances will move this way, bringing a better chance for showers.
TONIGHT: Clear, low 39. Wind SW/W 4-8mph.
TUESDAY: Warm again, high in the mid 70s, wind SW/S 10-18mph. It'll be mainly sunny.
RAIN CHANCE RETURNING: As the upper-level storm system approaches from the west, clouds will increase tomorrow night. We may get a few showers early Wednesday morning. The rain chance will go higher Wednesday afternoon and evening. There will probably be a few thunderstorms in the area, as well.
The rain chance will trend lower Thursday, before it goes back up Friday. That's because another upper wave will slide across the region. It'll also turn colder Thursday. We can't rule out some wintry precipitation Friday morning north of Lubbock, but it mainly looks like rain right now.
There will be a lot of humidity to work with, which means there could be some heavy downpours in the area.
It'll clear out by late Friday, leading to a sunny weekend. It'll be clear and cold for the Tech game Saturday night.
Have a great evening. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
