LUBBOCK, Texas -

Chilly this morning, not cold like yesterday. The wind is a light breeze 10-18mph and making it feel colder with wind chills in the teens and 20s area wide.

Current Wind

TODAY: Mostly sunny with high clouds in place through most of the day. Temperatures will be milder with highs in the 50s and 60s. Southwest wind will stay around 10-18mph for a light breeze.

TONIGHT: A dry, weak front move through the area changing the wind to the north. Temperatures will drop to the 20s and 30s, like this morning.

THURSDAY: Sunny with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler than today, high near 53.

EXTENDED: Friday and Saturday temperatures on the rise with some high clouds across the area Saturday. Another weak front move in to drop highs again Sunday around 10 degrees. The wind looks to be an issue with this front increasing 20-30mph from the north. Long range models are in disagreement on possible precipitation for our area. If we get anything it looks to be light and staying in liquid form. Much warmer to start off next week with 70s possible.

Have a great Wednesday! Matt with the next updated forecast tonight on the News at Nine.
