LUBBOCK, Texas -

The Texas Tech student government is working with the city of Lubbock to host the second Barricading Broadway on November 16.

The goal of the program is to provide a safe environment for students and business on game days.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to work with the City of Lubbock again on this project for a second time,” David Rivero, Texas Tech Student Body President, said. “We had a successful first run in September and we are looking forward to a successful second run on Saturday.”

Cars within the barricaded area will be allowed to leave at any time, but no cars will be allowed to enter the area once the barricades are up.

Lubbock Police Department will have officers on site to
enforce the barricaded area. There will be a designated pickup/drop off location near the intersection of Broadway and Avenue
