News release from Texas Tech Athletics:

Texas Tech will utilize the green space that used to occupy the Municipal Coliseum and Auditorium as a tailgate area for Red Raider students beginning with Saturday’s game against TCU.

Students are encouraged to spend the hours leading up to the 11 a.m. kickoff against the Horned Frogs at the new tailgate area, which will feature numerous food trucks as well as a mechanical bull, a climbing wall and various other entertainment options.

Tailgating will open at 8 a.m. Saturday morning followed by a performance by Texas country artist Stoney LaRue, who will take the stage at 9 a.m. for a one-hour concert. The concert is free for all fans and will be located in close walking proximity to the student gate at the southeast corner of Jones AT&T Stadium.

Raider Alley presented by Bud Light benefiting the Red Raider Club will also open at 8 a.m. Saturday and will feature Grady Spencer as the musical act. Raider Alley is located in Texas Tech’s historical engineering key in the heart of campus.
