FRIGID DAY: The north wind has been howling all day. This morning it was up at 30-40mph. The wind chill has been in the teens. We even had some brief freezing drizzle in parts of the area. The wind will go away but it'll stay cold for another day.
Here is the current temperature:
TONIGHT: Clearing sky and wind diminishing, which means it'll get very cold. Low in Lubbock near 14. We expect teens for most of the area, with the typically colder Muleshoe/Bailey County area probably dropping into the single digits.
TUESDAY: Sunny and cold, high near 45. Wind NW/SW 5-12mph. This will be 20 degrees below the seasonal average.
LOOKING AHEAD: Mid 60s will return Wednesday, followed by a weak cold front. The weekend looks pretty quiet with a lot of sun. No good sign of showers any time soon.
Have a great rest of the day. Bobby will have a full update to the forecast here early tomorrow.
