Temperatures declining

Meteorologist Bobby Johnston said today is cloudy with some morning drizzle possible. Temperatures will be near 39 degrees in the afternoon. The cloud cover may break up before sunset, as the temperature continues to drop into the teens.

Hocutt defends Coach Wells

Texas Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt stands by Football Coach Matt Wells. Hocutt made his first public comments this weekend after a civil rights lawsuit was filed against Utah State. The suit claims when Wells was Head Coach there, he didn't take appropriate steps when he learned of sexual assault allegations against a member of his team. Hocutt said this situation was known to Tech during the hiring process. Wells is not a defendant in the suit. For the full story: click here.

Televised impeachment hearings start Wednesday

The public phase starts this week with televised hearings. The American people will get to hear some of the witnesses who have already testified in private. Analysts say this will be like a political tv show. President Trump is the fourth U.S. President to face impeachment. 

Snyder ISD to undergo grade realignment

The state is looking to step into Snyder Junior High School because of years of under performance. After meeting with the T.E.A., the district plans to close the campus and re-open in with grade realignment. More than half of the junior high students' parents signed a petition asking the Texas Education Commissioner to close the campus and re-open it. For the full story: click here.

Lubbock Chamber of Commerce receives 5 star award

The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce received the five star accreditation award for its positive effect for local businesses. Out of 7,000 Chamber in the U.S., only 127 are given this award. This is the Lubbock Chamber's third time receiving the prestigious award. For the full story: click here.
