LUBBOCK, Texas -

From All Saints Episcopal School

Students will present a musical and historical tribute to veterans on November 11 during the All Saints Episcopal School’s annual Veterans Day Assembly at 8 a.m. in Jones Gym on the All Saints campus, 3222 103rd Street.

All Saints High School Student Council officers will lead a tribute to honor veterans by presenting a historical narrative detailing the significance and history of Veterans Day. The choir, under the direction of Courtney Terral, will perform a musical patriotic medley followed by a performance by the High School Drum Line. Orchestra Director Nicole Cherry will perform Amazing Grace in a violin solo. Six students will present a flag folding ceremony and explain the significance of each fold. The Lubbock High School Color Guard, under the direction of Master Chief Mark Hays, will present the flags and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

The assembly has been researched and planned by the All Saints High School Student Council under the direction of adviser Marty Montoya.

All Saints Episcopal School is one of the few area schools that participate in a Veterans Day Assembly to educate students about the holiday and honor local veterans. Area veterans are invited to attend.
