HOW IT HAPPENED
TAMIU put the first shot on goal in the fifth minute, but it was stopped by the LCU defense
The Chaps got on the board first, as Tariq Bakkali score a goal assisted by Hector Rodriguez-Cabo in the 17th minute
Texas A&M International responded immediately, scoring their first goal of the game less than a minute later
The Dustdevils got the lead just before halftime on a goal from Charlie Michael
LCU tried to even the score before half and got a shot on goal from Richie Vaca-Cordova, but it was saved by the TAMIU keeper
TAMIU double their lead just three minutes into the second half with a goal from Ruben Nielsen
The Dustdevils added goals in the 69th, 77th and 79th minutes, while their defense stymied any chances the Chap offense tried to create for the remainder of the game

LCU HIGHLIGHTS
Bakkali had the lone LCU goal in LCU's loss, moving into sole possession of second place on the team with five scores this season
Rodriguez-Cabo now has three assists on the year after recording the helper on Bakkali's goal
Vaca-Cordova (2) and Emilio Marti both recorded shots alongside Bakkali

CHAPARRAL NOTES
Bakkali has produce a point in three of the last four games. He is second on the team in total points with 12 (five goals, two assists)
The loss ended a streak of five straight Lubbock Christian games that had gone into overtime. The last game that had ended in regulation prior to Thursday was the October 3rd 2-4 loss to Midwestern State
Lubbock Christian extended their streak of games with at least one goal to nine games. They have not been shut out since September 20 at Concordia
Thursday marked the first time in program history that the Chaps allowed six goals in one game
LCU scored first in the game, marking the eighth different time this season they have done so. They are 6-2 in such games
