Cloud cover diminished late yesterday leaving us with a clear sky overnight. Temperatures have dropped significantly with Lubbock already breaking the previous record low of 20° set in 1991.
TODAY: Unlike the last few days with a cloudy sky, it will be sunny but still chilly. High nearing 54 with a southwest wind 5-12mph.
TRICK OR TREATERS: A spooky and chilly evening for the kids getting some candy tonight. The earlier the better as temperatures drop to the upper 30s and low 40s by 8P.
TONIGHT: Clear and cold with the low near 29.
FRIDAY: November starting much milder nearing 63, still below average for this time of year though. A dry cold front moves into the area during the afternoon and evening hours bring a breezy northerly wind 12-22mph.
WEEKEND: Temperatures drop around 10 degrees Saturday, but the cool down won't last long with highs back to the 60s Sunday. Some clouds but mostly sunny through both afternoons.
NEXT WEEK: Something we haven't had in a while is above average temperatures and we will see this on Monday with highs in the upper 70s. Then temperatures drop Tuesday to the lower 60s with another dry front.
